Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. She spent most of her youth listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs, as well older classical songs. Ana loves Tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form dramatic performance. At age 16 she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense vocal instruction. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and as a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. Following her move in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She is a frequent soloist at private parties and events singing classical Latin American Music. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations to keep this tradition alive.
